What Is Wallpaper Paste?

Basically, wallpaper paste is a glue used to adhere wallpaper to the wall. It is made from various kinds of materials, such as clay, methylcellulose and modified starch. It can also be water-soluble or dispersion adhesive.

Dispersion adhesive

Whether you are redecorating your home, or just hanging new wallpaper, you will need a good dispersion adhesive for wallpaper paste. There are many different types of adhesives available, and each has its own unique properties. Some are easier to remove than others, and some are better for certain jobs.
First of all, you want an all-purpose adhesive that works with any type of paper. You can buy these in powder form or ready-mixed. If you are working with a heavy-duty wallcovering, you may want to use a specialty adhesive.
